Der Publisher Curve Digital und der Entwickler Fallen Tree Games haben das Open-World-Sandbox-Action-Game "American Fugitive" angekündigt, das im Jahr 2019 für PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 und Switch erscheinen wird. Gespielt wird aus der Top-Down-Perspektive. Versprochen wird eine moderne Sichtweise auf die klassische Sandbox-Action.
Man übernimmt die Rolle von Will Riley, der zu unrecht für den Mord an seinem Vater verurteilt wird. Er bricht aus dem Gefängnis aus, um die Schuldigen zu finden. "American Fugitive spielt im tiefen Süden der 80er Jahre und ist ein Liebesbrief an die klassischen Filme und Spiele von einst," heisst es.
